About Us

Porcellino’s is more than a deli—it’s a story of family, tradition, and passion.

Our journey is inspired by generations of authentic Italian hospitality. This partnership, built by two families, brings together a shared love for food, culture, and community.

The name Porcellino (“the little piglet”) carries a special meaning for us. In Florence, Italy, a bronze fountain statue of a wild boar stands at the edge of the new market. According to local tradition, good fortune follows those who rub its snout. But for us, the name also brings back memories of Nonna, who fondly called her grandchildren her little porcellini after a big family meal—shirts messy, stomachs full, and hearts happy.

With deep roots in Brooklyn, New York, we spent our childhoods helping Zio run delis and carrying on countless family recipes. Surrounded by the rhythm of kitchens, markets, and community tables, food has always been our way of life. After years of building successful ventures in restaurants, catering, and hospitality, we knew it was time to bring something special home to our own backyard in Simi Valley.

It starts with fresh-baked bread and sandwiches stacked high with the best Italian imports—many from our own family farms in Italy. Yes, even the olive oil is ours, alongside a selection of one- of-a-kind market treasures. Add crisp salads, street food classics, and grab-and-go favorites to feed a family or a crowd (to us, they’re one and the same). We invite you to indulge in true Italian flavors—rooted in tradition, yet made for today. Come hungry, leave full in both body and soul. And always, eat like nobody’s watching!
